Spare-mount location varies by generation: FJ40 / J60 / J70 mount the spare externally (tailgate, swing-arm, or roof), J80 / J100 / J200 / J300 / Prado / GX stow the spare under the cargo floor. Cover wraps the tire either way:
- Elastic band (PU Leather, PVC): Stretches over the tire and grips behind the tread for a snug, factory-style fit.
