The Rubicon trim is the most-equipped Wrangler / Gladiator Jeep ships. Front and rear electronic lockers, electronically-disconnecting front sway-bar, Dana 44 axles, Rock-Trac 4:1 transfer case, 33-inch BFG mud-terrains stock. The trim takes its name from the Rubicon Trail — 22 miles of granite and ledges between Loon Lake and Lake Tahoe in California's Sierra Nevada. JL and JT Rubicons all carry the factory backup camera (in the tailgate or rear bumper). The cover needs a camera-shaped cutout; we cut it during production at no charge. Just send the diameter and offset.

Stock Rubicon spec is 33 inches. Mid-tier off-road builds are on 35s. Hardcore trail rigs are on 37s. Use the lookup; for any size, enter your tire's actual diameter at checkout for free custom sizing.

Rubicon owners spend serious money on the rig and care about the cover. Marine Grade Vinyl is the most-chosen material for this trim because owners drive Rubicons through actual conditions:
Polyester — $69 (Budget)
Lifespan 2–3 years. Drawstring cord attachment. Honestly not the right pick for a Rubicon — the trim is built for use, the cover should match. Skip Polyester unless the Rubicon is purely a daily driver.
PVC — $99 (Waterproof)
Lifespan 3–4 years. Elastic band attachment. Acceptable for daily-driver Rubicons in mild climates. Snug elastic, factory look. Three to four years.
PU Leather — $129 (Premium look)

Cleaning note: Pressure washing is not recommended for any Wheel Shell cover, regardless of material. Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. Pressure washing can damage the printed surface and shorten cover lifespan.

How the cover attaches to your Rubicon's spare
Wrangler JL Rubicon and Gladiator JT Rubicon both mount the spare on the rear tailgate (Wrangler) or under the bed (Gladiator). The cover wraps the tire and tightens with elastic or drawstring:
- Elastic band (PU Leather, PVC): Stretches over the tire and grips behind the tread for a snug, factory-style fit.
- Drawstring cord (Polyester, Marine Grade Vinyl, Marine Grade Vinyl Lux): Wraps over the tire and tightens with a drawcord. Adjustable for any spare diameter.
If you've upgraded to a heavy-duty aftermarket tire carrier (Mopar HD, AEV, JCR, Smittybilt SRC) the fitment is identical. Cover sits on the tire, not the carrier.
