UAZ spare tire covers
Custom spare tire covers for UAZ-469, UAZ-3151, Hunter, Patriot, Bukhanka (UAZ-452), and UAZ Pickup. Free backup-camera cutout, free custom design, free worldwide shipping. Built for the Ulyanovsk-built workhorses that have moved Russian villages, Soviet military, and Mongolian shepherds across the worst roads on Earth since 1965.
Built for every UAZ from the 1965 Bukhanka to the modern Patriot
UAZ — Ulyanovsky Avtomobilny Zavod — has built the same kinds of vehicles for sixty years: simple, ladder-frame, leaf-sprung, repairable-with-a-hammer-and-wire 4WDs that work where everything else stops. The 469, the Hunter that replaced it, the Bukhanka bread-loaf van, the Patriot — these are spare-tire-cover-needing trucks. Our covers are sized to whatever spare your UAZ actually carries.
- UAZ-469 / UAZ-3151 (1972–2003) — the Soviet military jeep. Direct descendant of GAZ-67. Stock tire 8.40-15 or 215/90R15. Spare mounted on the rear gate or bonnet (yes, hood-mounted on some military variants).
- UAZ Hunter (2003–present) — the modern descendant of the 469, with the same body but updated drivetrain. Stock 235/70R16, mounted on rear swing-out carrier.
- UAZ Patriot (2005–present) — full-size body-on-frame SUV. Stock 235/70R16 or 245/70R16 depending on trim. Underbody-hoist or rear-mount spare.
- UAZ-452 / Bukhanka / Loaf (1965–present) — the iconic bread-loaf van. Still in production. Stock 225/75R16 or 235/75R16. The most photographed Russian vehicle outside of an old Lada Niva.
- UAZ Pickup (Cargo) (2008–present) — the Patriot-platform pickup. Stock 235/70R16 or 245/70R16.
- UAZ-3303 / 3909 / 22069 Farmer (1965–present) — the Bukhanka-derived working trucks. Stock 225/75R16. Used by Russian post, military, fire and forestry.
Russian dacha owners running 469s on weekend trips, Mongolian shepherds in Bukhankas crossing the steppe, expat overlanders restoring Patriots in Kyrgyzstan, military-vehicle collectors in the US and Germany — we ship to all of them, with free worldwide delivery.
Free backup camera cutout, on every cover
Modern UAZ Patriot trims have factory backup cameras. Hunter, 469, and Bukhanka owners often retrofit a wireless camera onto the rear-mounted spare carrier. Send the camera diameter and offset, we cut a clean hole during production at no charge.
To add it, select the "with camera hole" option at checkout. We cut the hole during production — no special order, no surcharge, no production delay.
UAZ spare tire sizing — from 469 military 8.40-15 to lifted Patriot 33s
UAZ owners modify their tires more than almost anyone — lifted Patriots on 33-inch BFG All-Terrains, Hunters on 235/85R16 ATs, Bukhankas converted to camper rigs on 31-inch muds. Use this lookup, then enter your actual tire's overall diameter for a free custom fit.

Choose your material
UAZ owners are the most weather-hardened buyers we serve. Russian winters, Mongolian dust, Kyrgyz mountain rain, military stockpile storage. The materials line up the same way:
Polyester — $69 (Budget)
Lifespan 2–3 years. Drawstring cord attachment. Honest budget option for daily Patriot drivers in cities. Drawstring, 2–3 years.
PVC — $99 (Waterproof)
Lifespan 3–4 years. Elastic band attachment. Best for Hunter and 469 owners outside the dry-cold belt — western Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, mountainous Central Asia. Waterproof, elastic, snug.
PU Leather — $129 (Premium look)
Lifespan 3–4 years. Elastic band attachment. Premium grain that fits clean Patriot trims and restored 469 collector builds. Elastic band, soft, premium look.
Marine Grade Vinyl — $169 (Heavy duty, printed and sewn in Florida)
Lifespan 5+ years. Drawstring cord attachment. What we recommend for Mongolian Bukhanka owners crossing the Gobi summer, Kazakh Patriot drivers in steppe sun, and Astrakhan delta fishing-rig 469s. UV-stable, Florida-printed, 5+ years.
Marine Grade Vinyl Lux — $199 (Top spec, printed and sewn in Florida)
Same Marine Grade Vinyl spec plus integrated anti-theft lock — exclusive to Marine Grade Vinyl Lux only. Marine plus integrated anti-theft lock. Worth it on rare military 469s and well-built Patriots in cities — UAZs increasingly attract attention.

Cleaning note: Pressure washing is not recommended for any Wheel Shell cover, regardless of material. Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. Pressure washing can damage the printed surface and shorten cover lifespan.
Color matching note: Matte PU Leather and Marine Grade Vinyl reproduce factory matte black most accurately. Glossy PVC and Polyester read as deep charcoal under direct sun. For OEM paint-match, send your paint code at checkout — we calibrate the print and send a proof before production.
Color matching: We've matched military Khaki for restored 469s, Sokol Grey for current Patriot trims, Belyy Bukhankas, and the rare Garnet 230. Send the paint code or a clear bonnet photo and we'll match it before printing. Cyrillic lettering is supported — УАЗ, ПАТРИОТ, ХАНТЕР, БУХАНКА all render correctly.
How the cover attaches to your UAZ's spare
UAZ uses three spare-mount locations: rear swing-out (469, Hunter, Patriot rear-mount option), underbody hoist (Patriot most trims, Pickup), and side-mount on the side of the Bukhanka body. Cover wraps the tire either way:
- Elastic band (PU Leather, PVC): Stretches over the tire and grips behind the tread for a snug, factory-style fit.
- Drawstring cord (Polyester, Marine Grade Vinyl, Marine Grade Vinyl Lux): Wraps over the tire and tightens with a drawcord. Adjustable for any spare diameter.
Bukhanka owners with side-mounted spares: drawstring works best because the spare is exposed on the side — tighten and the cord stays put through forest tracks.

Frequently asked questions about UAZ spare tire covers (УАЗ)
What size cover do I need for the UAZ-469?
Stock 469 spare is 8.40-15 (an old-spec military size, equivalent to 215/90R15), which is 30 inches (76 cm) overall. If you've fitted modern 235/85R16 ATs, that's 31.7 inches. Custom sizing is free.
Does this fit the UAZ Hunter?
Yes — Hunter stock spare is 235/70R16, 29 inches (74 cm) overall. Mounted on the rear swing-out carrier. Drawstring or elastic both fit. We've made plenty of Hunter covers with Cyrillic lettering.
What about the UAZ Patriot's underbody-hoist spare?
Yes — Patriot runs 235/70R16 or 245/70R16 stock (29–30 inches overall). The cover goes on the spare before you wind it back up under the chassis. Drawstring is preferred for underbody mounts because it stays tight on the spare.
Can I get the cover with Cyrillic lettering — УАЗ, ПАТРИОТ, БУХАНКА?
Yes — full Cyrillic typography support. Send us the text in Cyrillic and we'll print it clean, including bold and italic variants. We've done УАЗ-469, ПАТРИОТ, ХАНТЕР, БУХАНКА, and personal Cyrillic family names.
Will the cover survive Russian winter (−40°C)?
Marine Grade Vinyl, PU Leather, and PVC all handle that cold range. Polyester is the one that cracks in extreme cold, so we'd avoid it for sub-zero use. Marine is the most cold-flexible of the lot.
Do you ship to Russia, Kazakhstan, or Mongolia?
Yes — all three. Free worldwide shipping. Production 2–7 business days plus 5–10 business days transit by air freight. About 7–14 business days door-to-door, depending on the regional logistics.
What about the UAZ-452 / Bukhanka bread-loaf van?
Stock Bukhanka is 225/75R16, which is 29.3 inches (74 cm) overall. Side-mounted spare on most trims. Camper conversions running 31×10.5 muds need a 31-inch cover — just enter your tire diameter at checkout.
Can I customize the cover with the original Soviet military 469 livery?
Yes — we've drawn olive-drab Soviet star, unit numbers, and military identification stencils for restoration owners. Approval-first, free design. Sourced reference from period photographs.
Can the cover work for the UAZ Pickup / Cargo?
Yes — UAZ Pickup runs 235/70R16 stock, same as the Patriot. The cover goes on the spare in the bed (or rear-mounted on some trims). 30-inch sizing covers most factory specs.
Can I get the cover for a UAZ Farmer (UAZ-3303 / 22069)?
Yes — Farmer trucks run 225/75R16 like the Bukhanka. The cover wraps the spare wherever it's mounted. We've done Farmer covers with original Russian Post and Forestry markings for restorers.
Will the cover fit if my Patriot has been lifted with 33-inch BFGs?
Yes — just enter your actual tire's overall diameter (33×12.50 = 33 inches) at checkout. Custom sizing is free. We've made covers for Patriots with 35-inch tires too — same drill.
Are you familiar with the spare-mount setups on classic 469 military variants (hood-mount, etc.)?
Yes — some variants of the 469 mount the spare on the bonnet. Our soft cover wraps the tire and stays put with elastic or drawstring regardless of mount location. Hood-mount, swing-arm, side-mount — the cover just fits the tire.
