Bronco sizing is one of the more straightforward modern lookups. Ford put the spare back on the tailgate when they brought the nameplate back in 2021, and the cover sizing for the 6th-generation lineup is reasonably clean across trims. The main thing buyers need to know is the gap between the stock-tire trims and the Sasquatch package.
The other useful thing to clarify up front: the Bronco Sport is a different vehicle. It does not carry the spare on the back. If you own a Sport and were planning to order a cover, you do not need one — the spare lives under the cargo floor.
For the full-size 6th-generation Bronco, the size depends almost entirely on whether the build is on the standard 33-inch all-terrain tires or the Sasquatch and Wildtrak 35-inch package. Bronco Raptor builds with off-road 37s land in their own category. Vintage Broncos (1966 to 1996) vary based on what tires the previous owner ran.
Here is the full sizing chart by trim and year.
Stock 6th-generation Ford Broncos (LT255/75R17) take a 33″ spare tire cover. Sasquatch and Wildtrak builds with 35-inch all-terrains take 35″. Bronco Sport stores its spare under the cargo floor and does not need a rear-mounted cover.

Bronco-specific design considerations
The Bronco swing-out spare carrier is one of the most photographed wheel positions in current 4×4 culture. A few directions that work especially well:
- Stock Cyber Orange or Eruption Green builds. Bold black-and-white tribute designs pop against the bright OEM paint colors.
- Iconic Silver, Velocity Blue, or Shadow Black. Bronco horse-emblem fan-art tributes pair cleanly with the more restrained paint codes.
- Sasquatch and Wildtrak builds. Built Wild typography and off-road overlanding lifestyle designs read clearly on the larger 35″ canvas.
The factory backup camera
6th-generation Broncos have a factory rear camera centered in the spare-tire carrier mount. The free centered backup-camera hole fits this exact position. Choose the “with camera hole” option at checkout — the hole is heat-sealed at the factory cut, no extra charge.
Frequently asked questions
I have a 2024 Sasquatch. What cover size?
A 35″ cover. The Sasquatch package includes 35-inch all-terrain tires (LT315/70R17). Always size by the actual tire diameter, not the rim.
My Bronco Sport has a spare. Do I need a cover?
No. The Bronco Sport stores its spare under the cargo floor. A rear-mounted spare tire cover does not apply unless you have added an external spare carrier (a rare aftermarket modification on the Sport).
I have a 1976 Bronco. What size?
It varies based on the tires you are running now. Vintage Broncos typically use 30″–33″ tires. Use the universal size chart or measure across the tire face with a tape measure.
Does the cover fit the swing-out tire carrier mount?
Yes. The cover wraps the wheel itself; how the wheel is mounted does not affect the cover fit. Swing-out, hitch-mounted, and tailgate-mounted spares all use the same covers.
I added bigger tires to my Bronco. Cover size?
Size by the new tire diameter. 33″ tires take a 33″ cover; 35″ tires take a 35″ cover; 37″ tires take a 37″ cover. Custom sizing is free if you are running something unusual.
