Spare Tire Cover Size Chart: 14″ to 37″ Diameter (Universal Reference)
Sizing is the single most-asked question about spare tire covers, and almost every wrong-size return comes back to the same problem: buyers ordering by rim diameter instead of tire diameter. The cover wraps the entire tire, from one edge of the tread across the face to the other edge. That number is bigger than the rim every time, sometimes by a lot.
The chart below is the universal reference we use internally for every order. It covers every common size from 14 inches (small utility trailers) up through 37 inches (lifted off-road builds), with the tire-size codes that match each. If your tire has a code on the sidewall, you can use it to find the right cover size directly.
If you cannot find your exact tire in the chart, there are two backup options — measure across the spare with a tape measure, or send the tire code at checkout and we will size it from the manufacturer spec.
One thing worth knowing up front: cover price does not change with size. A 14-inch trailer cover and a 37-inch off-road cover cost the same within each material. You pay for the material grade, not the diameter.

How to use this chart
There are three paths to the right size, and any of them works:
- Read your tire sidewall code. For example, LT285/70R17 lands you on a 33″ cover.
- Match your vehicle. A 2023 Bronco Outer Banks lands on 33″.
- Measure the spare. Tape measure across the tire face, edge of tread to edge of tread, through the center. Round up if you are between sizes.

My tire size code is not in this chart. What now?
Use a tape measure across the tire face. Read the inches and round up to the next listed size. Or send your tire-size code at checkout and we will size it from the manufacturer spec.
Can I order a custom size between two listed sizes?
Yes — send the exact diameter at checkout. Custom sizing is free. We cut to any diameter from 14″ through 37″ and beyond on request.
Does cover price change with size?
No. The price is set by material grade (Polyester $69, PVC $99, PU Leather $129, Marine Grade Vinyl $169, Marine Grade Vinyl with Anti-Theft Kit $199) regardless of cover diameter. A 14″ trailer cover and a 37″ lifted-Wrangler cover cost the same within each material tier.
Should I round up or round down if I am between sizes?
Round up. A slightly oversized cover can be tightened with the drawcord or stretched into place. An undersized cover will not stretch over the tire cleanly and the print will distort.
